DUTIES


POSITION SUMMARY: Concisely state the purpose and overall function of your position---the reason for your position.

 

This position is responsible for all sales management activities for company in the Asia Pacific Region*.   The primary function of the role is to grow profitable sales through end user specification and channel management while collaborating with Engineering, Customer Service, Operations, Marketing and Accounting departments.  Other responsibilities include setting and achievement of Sales and Expense budgets, price modeling, and analysis of industry intelligence.  As the Asia-Pacific region involves a start-up manufacturing center, the sales manager for the region will also coordinate all purchasing and servicing issues to the EMAR and Americas regions including managing global accounts and transplant business.

 

* Region includes China/HK/Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, NZ, India, and Pakistan.

Sales:

·         Generate revenue through direct sales; manage sales through existing distributors and agents.

·         Appoint new distributors and agents.

·         Quote and negotiate price, freight, and margin terms with customers.

·         Build, manage, and strengthen relationship with customers and key industry personnel.

·         Educate customers and co-workers about exporting and importing, tariffs, international shipping, foreign exchange, payment (L/C, T/T), insurance, etc.

·         Frequent travel to various parts of the region as required

 

Marketing:

·         Establish and monitor key industry indicators and trends.

·         Analyze competitors, products, and pricing policies.

·         Prepare annual marketing plan and budgeting plan.

·         Attend trade shows, manage advertisement, and other promotional activities.

·         Identify new applications/products and new markets

·         Manage marketing channels.

·         Frequent visits to the Region

 

 

Strategic Opportunities:

·         Identify strategic business opportunities

·         Feasibility and P/L analysis

·         Develop execution plans

 

Financials:

·         Develop budget for the Region

·         Manage all sales related expenses

A. SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:


§    Minimum of 5 years sales and/ or marketing experience in the Heat Shrinkable tubing (or comparable) market


§    Familiarity with technical selling and channel management concepts


§    Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently


§    Agent management experience along with customer service skills


§    Excellent interpersonal skills; independent, self-motivator and entrepreneurial oriented
